Bangladesh approves emergency use of J&J vaccine
The Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) has approved Johnson & Johnson's Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use in the country.
The DGDA disclosed the approval through a press release this afternoon, saying those who are aged 18 or above can be inoculated with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses.
The Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine is the sixth one to receive approval from the DGDA for emergency use.
The vaccine, developed by Belgian drug manufacturer Janssen-Cilag International NV, received approval of the World Health Organization on 12 March and of European Medicines Agency (EMA) on 11 March.
Besides, the vaccine is endorsed by other regulatory authorities, like the Food and Drug Administration of the United States of America and Health Canada.
