BSMMU sets up clinic for cold-related patients
People with fever, cough and sneezing can receive treatment at the clinic from 8:00am to 2:30pm
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has set up a separate health service facility named "fever clinic" on the first floor of Bangladesh Betar Bhaban in Shahbagh for patients with cold-related illness.
People with fever, cough and sneezing can receive treatment at the clinic from 8:00am to 2:30pm.
Doctors from the BSMMU hospital are regularly providing services there, said a press release.
The process is underway to set up a Covid-19 testing lab.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Kanak Kanti Barua visited the "fever clinic" on Monday.
BSMMU has also launched several helplines as part of its effort to combat the coronavirus transmission.
Patients can now call and take services from different departments like medicine (01406426437, 01406426438), surgery (01406426439), ear, nose and throat (01406426440), gynecology (01406426442), pediatrics (01984519525, 01951820843) and disease of the chest (01406426441).
The hotline service will be available from 8:30am to 2:00pm, according to the press release.
