Coronavirus spread to 29 areas of Dhaka and 10 other districts
Among the 88 reported cases so far, 54 are from 23 areas of the capital
The Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) on Sunday said that they have found 88 positive cases of coronavirus in 29 areas of Dhaka and 10 other districts.
According to the data available on IEDCR's website, 54 of the 88 positive cases are from 29 areas of the capital.
Basabo has the highest of 9 positive COVID-19 cases, while Tolarbag has 6 and Swari Ghat has 3 cases.
Basundhara, Dhanmondi, Jatrabari, Mirpur 10, Mohammadpur, Purana Paltan, Shah Ali Bagh each has 2 positive cases.
Ashkona, BUET Area, Central Road, Eskaton, Gulshan, Green Road, Hazaribagh, Jigatala, Kazipara, Lalbag, Mirpur-11, Mogbazar, Mohakhali, Nikunja, Rampura, Shahbag, Urdu Road, Wari and Uttara in the capital has one positive case each.
Outside Dhaka, COVID-19 spread to 10 other districts.
Both Madaripur and Narayanganj reported 11 positive cases of COVID-19 while Gaibandha has 5 cases. Gazipur, Chuadanga, Cumilla, Cox's Bazar, Shariotpur, Rangpur and Chattogram have reported 1 positive case each.
Bangladesh today reported 18 new cases of coronavirus, the highest daily increase since the outbreak began here, bringing the national total to 88.
