Police have arrested a leader of ruling Awami League's front wing Juba League for spreading rumour about coronavirus by uploading fake video on Facebook on Monday night.
The arrestee - Abdus Salam Molla - is the organising secretary of Pabna's Ishwardi Juba League.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Police Station, Bahauddin Faruki said, "Abdus Salam tried to instigate the locals by uploading video without any evidence saying the Russians and other foreigners, who are currently staying at Ishwardi, are spreading coronavirus."

Getting primary evidence on the allegation, police arrested him after filing a case against him under Digital Security Act. He will be sent to court on Tuesday, the OC added.
