Labaid Hospital's doctor dies of Covid-19
Dr Shakhawat was also suffering from pneumonia
Dr Shakhawat Hossain, an anesthesia consultant at the Labaid Specialised Hospital in the capital, has died of Covid-19 after fighting with the virus for two weeks.
Bangladesh Medical Association's Secretary General Dr Ehteshamul Haque Dulal confirmed the information to The Business Standard.
Dr Shakhawat was also suffering from pneumonia, he added.
He breathed his last around 9am Monday. He was on ventilation support at the AMZ Hospital in the capital Badda area.
According to the BMA, so far 19 doctors have died of Covid-19 positive in the country.
