The employees of the organisation also contributed a portion of their salary to support the communities
Nestlé Bangladesh Limited has donated nutritious Nestlé food products to Prime Minister's Relief & Welfare Fund, Sajida Foundation and around 1,000 distressed families in Sreepur in response to the coronavirus pandemic as a part of its overall commitment of Tk10 million.
The employees of the organisation also contributed a portion of their salary to support the communities, says a press release.
"In this national crisis, we pledge to stand by the country by helping the people in need. Staff contribution reflects our core value and just fraction of our commitment to the society. By doing this, we are doing our part of returning to the society, paying it forward for many to come along and we are proud to be doing the best we can", said Deepal Abeywickrema, managing director of the organisation.
Nestlé Bangladesh Limited is also among few organizations to continue its operations on a pragmatic scale to ensure availability of essential foods for its consumers in the country.
