There is no scope of being satisfied over the plunging coronavirus infection in the country, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.
"Even big country like India is experiencing a catastrophic second wave of Covid-19," the minister warned while addressing a function organised on the occasion of 50 years of health department and health system in Bangladesh on Sunday.
He also urged everyone to follow hygiene rules.
Bangladesh reported 1,452 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, which is the lowest in number in 48 days.
With the figures, the total Covid-19 case count stands at 7,60,548 in the country and the positivity rate was 9.61% on Saturday.
Besides, deaths from the dreaded virus now stands at 11,510.
