Patient in isolation flees hospital in Pabna
The hospital authorities have filed a general diary
A 25-year-old patient, who had been in isolation with coronavirus symptoms, has fled a hospital in Pabna.
The authorities of Pabna sadar hospital filed a general diary in this regard.
Officer-in-Charge of Pabna sadar police station Md Nasim Uddin said the youth, Mostaq Al Mamun, came to his in-law's house at Pabna's Bera upazila from Halishpur upazila of Dinajpur on April 5 with fever, cough and headache.
The patient later got admitted to Pabna sadar hospital the following day with fever, cold and breathing difficulties, he added.
Doctors kept him under observation at the hospital's isolation unit on a suspicion that he might have Covid-19.
"But the patient was unwilling to stay there from the very beginning. He fled the hospital on Wednesday afternoon," Nasim Uddin further said.
But he did not return home, the police officer said, quoting his family members.
Police are looking for him in different areas of the city, and the hospital security has been beefed up.
