Pran-Rfl donates safety gear to 3 Covid-19 dedicated hospitals
Kamruzzaman Kamal said, health workers are fighting the pandemic from the front and they are being infected while carrying out their duties to treat coronavirus patients
Pran-Rfl Group, one of the largest business conglomerates of the country, donated protective equipment to Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, and Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital for the protection of the physicians and nurses working there.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, marketing director of Pran-Rfl Group, separately handed over the safety gear on Thursday, said a media release on Saturday.
Prof Dr Faruque Ahmed, Director of Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital, Dr AKM Sarwarul Alam, director of Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital and Maj Shaikh Mohammad Edi Ameen, senior store officer at Kurmitola General Hospital received surgical mask, hand sanitizer, mob cap, safety goggles and PPE on behalf of their respective organizations.
Kamruzzaman Kamal said, "Health workers are fighting the pandemic from the front and they are being infected while carrying out their duties to treat coronavirus patients. For the reason, we have provided the protective equipment so that they can serve patients ensuring their own safety."
Earlier, Pran-Rfl Group donated Covid-19 sample collection booths, surgical masks, PPE, hand gloves and hand sanitizers to the Director General of Health Services (DGHS) and 12 other hospitals in Dhaka, Chattogram and Bhola.
The group also donated protective equipment for the police working in Chattogram.
