Satkhira Medical College soon to treat Covid -19 patients only
“Two coronavirus suspected patients are admitted here in the isolation unit. Their samples have already been collected”
Satkhira Medical College Hospital will be dedicated for treating only coronavirus patients in the next couple of days.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Satkhira Medical College Hospital Superintendent Dr Md Rafiqul Islam said, "No general patient will get treatment here. The Sadar Hospital has been prepared for all the general cases. "
Some 150-200 general patients used to get treatment from the general ward. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, it has been completely reduced. General patients are not coming to the hospital because of coronavirus fears. There are only 12 general patients admitted to hospital's general unit as of Monday, according to information from the hospital.
"Two coronavirus suspected patients are admitted here in the isolation unit. Their samples have already been collected, " Hospital's isolation ward in-charge Dr Manas Kumar Mondal said.
