SC lawyer tests positive for coronavirus
IEDCR also collected the swab sample of his wife, who later tested negative
A Supreme Court lawyer, who returned here from London in March, has tested positive with the novel coronavirus.
Confirming the matter to The Business standard, the patient said that he caught fever on March 27 and provided sample to IEDCR for test on April 4.
After the result came out positive on the same day of testing, he went into self-isolation at his residence.
IEDCR also collected the swab sample of his wife, who later tested negative.
Earlier, the lawyer was suggested to get himself admitted at the Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital in the capital's Uttara, but he preferred to self-isolate himself at his home.
He was former joint secretary of BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (Supreme Court Unit).
