Worksfare increases salary of its workers amid Covid-19
The company has made important arrangements like Covid-19 allowance, PPE and hand sanitation for everyone in the production and sales channel
The novel coronavirus (Covid-19) has brought human civilisation to a critical juncture with the economy being at a standstill, laying off workers and reducing salaries in various companies. Amid this unprecedented despair and frustration all around, Worksfare International Limited has increased the salaries of its employees to boost their morale.
The company has made important arrangements like Covid-19 allowance, PPE and hand sanitation for everyone in production and sales, reads a press release.
"Our goal was to set an example for all," said Mehdi Hassan, chairman of Worksfare, adding "the message that Worksfare never leaves its employees has been given, which is our policy."
Worksfare managing director Rashidul Islam Jewel said, "We do not believe in hire and fire. Moreover, we consider it our duty to stand by our workers in times of danger."
