ZTE donates 25,000 masks, 500 medical goggles to CMSD
CMSD Director Abu Hena Morshed Zaman received ZTE donations and expressed his satisfaction
ZTE Corporation, a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company, has recently donated 25,000 facemasks and 500 medical goggles to the Central Medical Store Depot (CMSD) of Bangladesh to help fight against Covid-19.
Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) Managing Director Dr Rafiqul Matin, Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Nur-Ur-Rahman, Central Medical Stores Depot Director and Additional Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, ZTE Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Vincent Liu along with his team were present there during the time of the donation.
Confirming the news to the media ZTE Bangladesh said, "This assistance will help many medical staff in the fight against coronavirus outbreaks.
In an official statement, ZTE Bangladesh CEO Vincent Liu stated, "As a local company that has been doing business for more than 20 years, ZTE Bangladesh wants to help fight the epidemic in Bangladesh by donating 25,000 masks and 500 medical goggles to the CMSD for treating Covid-19 patients."
CMSD Director Abu Hena Morshed Zaman received ZTE donations and expressed his satisfaction. He also thanked ZTE for strengthening Bangladesh in dealing with Covid-19.
ZTE has been actively practicing social responsibility during this pandemic.
By means of its global business networks and resources, ZTE Foundation has donated facemasks, nucleic acid testing equipment, and other materials, proactively responding to the actual requirements of hospitals to assist the front line against coronavirus, said the ZTE press statement.
In full support of operators in communication construction in this critical period, ZTE has partnered with operators to build 4G/5G networks for 210 hospitals in 82 cities of 26 provinces in China. Within only 24 hours, ZTE's video conferencing system was deployed in Wuhan's 20 mobile cabin hospitals.
In addition, ZTE has further strengthened the application of 5G in specific scenarios, and deployed the innovative 5G applications in various industries, including new media, cloud workspace, telemedicine, distance education, and video surveillance to fight against coronavirus, quickly improving the competitiveness of its products and solutions.
