Bangladesh High Commission seeks explanation from Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways on Thursday did not give boarding passes to those passengers for an unexplained reason
Bangladesh High Commission in London has sought an explanation to the local office of Qatar Airways regarding the boarding passes denial to some passengers from London to Dhaka including British-Bangladeshis.
Qatar Airways on Thursday did not give boarding passes to those passengers for an unexplained reason.
A press release said the news spread through several news outlets later and came to the notice of the high commission.
Bangladesh High Commission in London has been providing health declaration cards amid Covid-19 outbreak to Bangladeshi and British-Bangladeshi citizens (including NVRs) since last March, said the press release issued by the high commission.
Bangladesh-bound passengers travelled on various airlines from March including Bangladesh Biman, Qatar Airways and Emirates Airways by showing the health declaration cards.
This attested declaration has also been received by various airlines and immigration authorities of Dhaka Airport.
The high commission says that it is already collecting information on whether some airlines have adopted any new policy for the health certificate related to Covid-19.
However, the high commission has advised Bangladeshi passengers to know the terms and conditions of the respective airlines at the time of ticket purchasing so that they do not face any inconvenience while travelling.
