As one-week flight restriction has been imposed by Saudi Arabia amid Covid-19 pandemic, Biman Bangladesh airlines has cancelled its all flights to Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam from today.
The flights of the national flag carrier have been cancelled for one week, says a Biman press release on Monday.
Passengers of cancelled flights will be allotted seats on priority basis subject to seat vacancy after resumption of flight, reads the release.
Saudi government's restriction has been made in response to the emergence of a potent new strain of the virus in the UK and other European countries.
Saudi Arabia suspended late on Sunday all international commercial flights for a renewable week except for the foreign flights already in the kingdom which will be allowed to leave, state news agency SPA reported quoting an interior ministry source.
The source added the entry to the kingdom through land and sea ports will be also suspended for a renewable week.
