Biman resumes regular flights on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route
Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG001 left Dhaka for London on Sunday with 187 passengers
After a closure of almost three months for the outbreak of novel coronavirus epidemic, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started operating scheduled flights on international routes from today, according to a press release
Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG001 (Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Gangchil) left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today for London at 12:02pm with 187 passengers.
Flights on the Dhaka-London-Dhaka route will be operated once in a week (every Sunday) for the time being, adds the press release.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started the schedule flights by maintaining a safe environment in accordance with the highest health rules for passengers.
The safety measures include providing travel hygiene kits to every passenger during boarding card issuance, allotting passenger seats as per rules prescribed by the civil aviation authority, cabin crew members on flight maintaining proper health protection, and alternative food service as per the International Civil Aviation Organisation guidelines.
Biman operated the last scheduled flight from London to Dhaka on March 30, 2020, the press release reads.
