Emirates treated its passengers traveling from Dhaka to Dubai with traditional local sweets at the check-in counter on the occasion of the Bangladesh's golden jubilee of independence
Passengers traveling on flight EK 583 also received bespoke branded boarding passes, marked with "Happy 50th Independence Day", said a press release issued by Emirates on Saturday.
Emirates has been serving the country for more than 35 years, flying customers from Dhaka to Dubai and beyond.
The airline now operates 17 flights a week from Dhaka and is currently the only international carrier to offer First Class services to the country, the release added.
