Saudi Arabia to allow Biman commercial flights from October 1
Flights will be announced as soon as landing permission is received
Saudi Arabia has decided to allow Biman Bangladesh Airlines to operate commercial flights from October 1.
Biman Managing Director Md Mokabbir Hossain confirmed the matter to The Business Standard on Monday.
"Landing permission is required before seats can be allocated. Since landing permission could not be obtained until now, it is not possible to announce seat allocations for passengers," he said.
Flights will be announced as soon as landing permission is received, and all concerned, including passengers, will be informed, said the Biman managing director.
Seats will be allocated only for passengers who have tickets to Saudi Arabia. For now, new tickets will not be sold.
Detailed information on seat allocation will be available on Biman's website on Tuesday.
