American Express cardholders allowed repaying bills through bKash

The City Bank has allowed its American Express credit cardholders to repay their credit card bills from anywhere through bKash app seamlessly.
 
The newly launched service will facilitate clients by making repayments on time without waiting in queues at the bank counters, said a press statement on Monday. 
 
It will reduce the extra workload at bank counters as well. 
 
With this facility, the cardholders need not go out of the home during this countrywide shutdown because they could now safely repay credit card bills from home.
 
Any bKash user having the American Express credit card could avail of this opportunity. They could repay bills in taka and there is no repayment limit in this regard.
 
To avail of this service, cardholders will have to follow some simple steps. 
 
In the bKash app, users would find the AMEX Credit Card Bill option in the 'Pay Bill' or 'Suggestion' segment. To repay the bill, a cardholder needs to enter his or her credit card number then bill amount and bKash PIN to complete the process.
 
In this respect, a 1% charge will be applied to the repayment amount. However, due to the promotional offer from bKash, cardholders will get a 1% instant cashback on the repayment figure up to Tk200 from April 26 to May 31 this year.
