Central bank dissolves Exim Bank board, forms anew with 5 members

The Bangladesh bank has dissolved the Exim Bank's board and formed it anew with five members.
The central bank has also removed the bank's Chairman Md Nazrul Islam Mazumder and his wife Nasreen Islam from the board, as per a circular issued today (29 August).
The new board comprises former executive director of Bangladesh Bank SM Rezaul Karim and chartered accountant Khandaker Mamun. They have been appointed as the bank's independent directors.
The others are – Md Nazrul Islam Shopon, who holds 3.54% share of the bank, Md Nurul Amin holds 2% and Anjan Kumar Saha holds 2%.
