IGP inaugurates 7 new branches of Community Bank
With inclusion of these 7 new branches, Community Bank is now having 17 branches within 1 year of its commercial operation
Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Chairman of Community Bank Bangladesh Limited Dr Benazir Ahmed inaugurated 7 new branches of the bank on Thursday.
Dr Benazir inaugurated the new branches through a virtual inauguration ceremony which he attended via video-conferencing from his office at the police headquarters in Dhaka, said a press release issued by Community Bank Bangladesh Limited.
Members of the Board of Directors of the bank and senior officials of Bangladesh Police attended the inaugural ceremony at Police Headquarters while police high officials, local leaders, members of business community and dignitaries were present at the branch ends.
The new inaugurated branched are: Panchdona Branch in Narsingdi, Mirzapur Branch in Tangail, Gouripur Branch in Cumilla, Khulna Branch in Khulna City, Ranirbandar Branch in Dinajpur, Nawabganj Branch in Dhaka and Anderkilla Branch in Chattogram City.
Commenting on this event, Dr Benazir Ahmed said, "Community Bank is a bank for people from all walks of life, not only for the members of Bangladesh Police. The name 'Community Bank' itself is the testimony of that promise."
Addressing to the depositors and businessmen Dr Benazir said, "You can confidently do business with us and your deposits will be completely secured".
He advised the bank employees to deliver their services smartly.
He added that irrespective of business volume, all customers must be treated fairly so that they can experience the unique service quality of Community Bank.
Regarding the ongoing pandemic situation IGP said, "While economic giants are struggling due to Covid-19 pandemic, Bangladesh is propelling towards economic growth under the visionary leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister."
