Shahjalal Islami Bank receives Safa award
Chartered accountant (CA) institutes from all the SAARC countries took part in the event
Shahjalal Islami Bank has received the South Asian Federation of Accountants (Safa) award for the Best Presented Annual Report 2019 in the category of private sector banks.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka organised Safa's Best Presented Annual Reports Award event on Wednesday last through a digital platform, said a media statement.
Chartered accountant (CA) institutes from all the SAARC countries took part in the event.
The Bangladeshi entities were connected via Zoom at the ICAB auditorium in Dhaka.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) handed over the prizes amongst the winners at the ICAB Bhaban.
Deputy Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury; and its Chief Financial Officer, Md Jafar Sadeq, received the Safa award from Safa Vice-President AKM Delwer Hossain on behalf of the winning organization.
