AB Bank wins two Mastercard Excellence Awards
AB Bank has been honoured with the Mastercard Excellence Awards 2023-24 in two categories: Excellence in Mastercard Business (Financial Inclusion) and Excellence in Mastercard Debit Business (Domestic). Notably, AB Bank is the only financial institution to receive recognition in the Financial Inclusion category this year.
The sixth edition of the awards celebrated the exceptional contributions of organisations from the banking, payments, and fintech sectors in Bangladesh.
Mr. Tarique Afzal, Managing Director and CEO of AB Bank, accepted the awards on behalf of the bank.

Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, attended the event as Chief Guest, while Ms. Trishita Maula, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Dhaka, was present as Guest of Honour.
The event also witnessed the presence of Mr. Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard, and Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Additional Managing Director of AB Bank, alongside other distinguished officials.
