Agrani Bank emphasises recovering classified loans
In bid to perform well during the pandemic and recover classified loans, the state-owned Agrani Bank Limited has been hosting recovery boost-up meetings with its branch-level officials on a rolling basis.
In line with this move, the bank on Thursday hold a virtual meeting with nine corporate branches in Dhaka, said a media statement issued on Saturday.
Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam, managing director of the bank, joined the meeting as the chief guest.
Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy managing director of the bank presided over the meeting, while Md Monowar Hossain, general manager (CFO) of the bank; general manager (credit), general manager (loan collection), general manager (CAMLCO), among others, joined the meeting.
In the meeting, the participants were directed to take effective measures to recover the classified and write-off loans from their respective postitions so that the bank could perform well amid pandemic.
Besides this, the branch managers were instructed to perform well in other banking areas like import-export, remittance, non-interest income, deposit, loans and others.
