BSCCPLC holds 16th Annual General Meeting

Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCCPLC) successfully conducted its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27th November 2024. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, the Secretary of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Company. It was held virtually, ensuring full participation in the meeting's proceedings.

A key highlight of the AGM was the declaration of a 40% cash dividend for the year 2023-2024, which was approved for the shareholders of BSCCPLC. The meeting also covered other regulatory matters, with discussions centered around the company's achievements and future plans.

The AGM was attended by several distinguished members of the Board of Directors, including Mr. Md. Jane Alam, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications; Brigadier General Ikram Ahmed Bhuiyan, AFWC, PSC; Mr. Bidyut Chandra Aich, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr. Md. Mustafa Akbar, Professor, Computer Science and Engineering Department, BUET; Syed Mohammad Kawser Hossain, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance; Mr. Moniruzzaman, FCA, Independent Director; along with the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Md. Aslam Hossain, Company Secretary, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Audit Officer, and other senior officials. Representatives from the statutory auditor institution were also present at the meeting.
