Discussion on draft act for unani and ayurvedic medical education
A discussion meeting was held regarding the Unani and Ayurvedic Medical Education Act 2025 draft. Board members and leaders of the Graduate Association attended the meeting.
On Tuesday, 21st January 2025, the meeting occurred at the Hamdard Head Office in Banglamotor, Dhaka. It was presided over by Dr Hakim Md Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan, Senior Member of the Bangladesh Unani and Ayurvedic Board, President of BAMA, and Chief Motawalli and Managing Director of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh.
The meeting was attended by board members Dr Md Mizanur Rahman, A K Mahbubur Rahman Saki, Saleh Md Abdur Rahman, Motaleb Motin, Hakim Kamrul Islam Nabatati, Hakim Moksedul Alam, Dr Nur Mohammad Iqbal Chowdhury, Professor Dr Ataur Rahman, Hakim Md Kamruzzaman, and Kabiraj Shyamal Prasad Sengupta, among others.

Also present was the board's assistant controller of examinations, Dr Sardar Md Ruhul Amin. The Graduate Association was represented by Dr Aminul Bari Kanan, Dr Tawhid Alberuni, Dr Jahangir Hossain, and Dr Sohrab Hossain, among others. The attending members unanimously agreed to transform the board's existing ordinance into an updated and relevant law.
