EBL Appoints Osman Faiz as Additional Managing Director

astern Bank PLC (EBL) has appointed Osman Ershad Faiz as its Additional Managing Director (AMD). Before joining EBL, Mr. Faiz was the Co-Founder of Asia FiiT, an international banking and FinTech consultancy based in Singapore.

With a career spanning 30 years, Mr. Faiz has worked with leading global financial institutions, specialising in strategy, technology, operations, digital transformation, core banking, and FinTech. He has held prominent positions, including Chief Information and Operating Officer (CIOO) at AMTD Digital, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Standard Chartered Bank Singapore, and Regional Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Eastern Hemisphere. He also served as Head of Operations at Permata Bank in Indonesia and was a Director at the Singapore Clearing House Association.

Throughout his career, Mr. Faiz has received numerous international recognitions and has been a Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Singapore since 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and an MBA from Aligarh Muslim University, India. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the University of Oxford Saïd Business School and INSEAD.

Mr. Faiz began his career as a management trainee with American Express Bangladesh in 1993. Before moving abroad in 2005 for an international assignment, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh.
