Expats can now open account, do transactions with mobile apps of Sonali Bank
Expatriates can now open a bank account with Sonali Bank and do transactions using the "Sonali eSheba" and "Sonali e-Wallet" mobile apps (available for android and IOS devices).
An event was held marking the launch of the digital services, aimed to ensure smart banking round the clock for people living abroad, in Dhaka recently, reads a press release.
Financial Institution Division Secretary of Finance Ministry Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah attended the programme, chaired by Sonali Bank MD Afzal Karim, as the chief guest.

Sonali Bank Chairman Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui, FID additional secretaries Harun ur Rashid Mollah, Mafiz Uddin Ahmed and Amal Krishna Mandal were special guests on the occasion.
Account holders can make payments and purchases with the Sonali Bank apps by scanning the respective QR codes from different shops and malls, added there release.
