International photography exhibition begins at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy
The highly anticipated Photo Fest Asia 2024, organised by the East West University Photography Club and supported by Nur's Foundation, has officially opened at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Running from 20 to 23 November, the exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mr. Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Interim Government, inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Ismat Shereen, Advisor of Students' Welfare and Head of the Career Counseling Center; Dr. M. Sayeed Alam, Associate Professor and Founding Moderator of the club; Ahmad Asif Sami, and Ms. Rafayat Jalal, Current Moderators of the club; and Nur Izaz, Founder of Nur's Foundation.
The exhibition features 110 remarkable photographs selected from 7,286 submissions by photographers from 21 countries, including India, Myanmar, and Iran. A special tribute section showcases 36 photographs by members of the East West University Photography Club, honouring the spirit of the July Revolution.
Open to all, Photo Fest Asia 2024 provides a platform for photography enthusiasts and the public to explore diverse artistic perspectives and appreciate the power of visual storytelling.
