IUB recognizes students’ achievements at the academic awards ceremony 2024
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) hosted its Academic Awards Ceremony 2024 on December 23 at the IUB Auditorium, celebrating students' exceptional academic performance. The event acknowledged 1,456 students with 2,666 certificates across various honour lists, with 61.33% of recipients being female.
The honour lists included categories such as the Dean's List, Dean's Merit List, Vice Chancellor's List, and Vice Chancellor's Honour List. Certificates were awarded to students achieving CGPAs of 3.50 or higher, while top performers received additional book awards and cash incentives.
Distinguished attendees included Guest of Honour Didar A. Husain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Khandker Md. Iftekhar Haider, Treasurer; newly appointed Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Tamim; deans, heads of schools, and other dignitaries.
In his address, Prof. Tamim emphasized the importance of holistic growth beyond academics and encouraged students to actively contribute to shaping IUB's future. Chairman Didar A. Husain highlighted IUB's inclusive and supportive environment, noting the institution's success in fostering female academic achievement, with 42.69% female enrollment in 2023.
The ceremony concluded with certificate presentations, celebrating students' hard work and commitment to excellence.
