Jamil Khan elected local president of JCI Barishal
Jamil Khan, also known as Kabil Khan, has been elected as the local president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Barishal for 2024 during the JCI Barishal's General Assembly 2023 held at Uday Tower on 9 November.
The general assembly was chaired by Md Fazle Munim where 2023 local president Biplob Ghosh Rahul presented a report of its activities for the whole year of 2023, reads a press release.
Jamil Khan is an associate professor at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMC) at Daffodil International University (DIU).
The Election was conducted by the Election Commissioner and BDC chairperson Md Fazle Munim.
According to the press release, the 18-member Board of 2024 includes President Jamil Khan, immediate past local president Biplob Ghosh Rahul, local executive vice president Lipi Ghosh, local vice president Mehedi Hasan, local secretary general Ishti Ahmed, local treasurer Jayonto Bhushan Roy, local general legal counsel Md Mehedi Asif, local committee chair Tarek Mahmood, local director Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Md. Asad Iqbal, Rakibul Azam Romance, Rifat Ara, Rezaul Islam, Pallab Sikder, general member Nishan Jahan, Saidur Rahman Reza, Md. Monjurul Islam Talukdar, and Rakib Bayany.
The newly appointed board was officially sworn into office and took oath from the 2023 local president Biplob Ghosh Rahul.
The event was graced by special guests from the National Board of JCI Bangladesh including 2023 national president senator Ziaul Haque, 2023 deputy national president Imran Kadir, 2023 national executive vice president Seyed Mosayeb Alam, 2023 national executive vice president Kazi Fahad, 2023 national secretary general M Kamrul Islam Chowdhury, along with other national governing body members, local presidents of other local organizations and JCI Bangladesh members.
