Pubali Bank launches islamic banking corner at khamarbari branch
Pubali Bank PLC has inaugurated a new Islamic Banking Corner at its Khamarbari Branch in Dhaka to meet the growing demand for Islamic banking services across the nation. This initiative is part of the bank's nationwide expansion of Islamic banking services to provide customers easy access to a full range of Shariah-compliant financial services.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, January 22, was graced by Md. Saiful Alam, Director General of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), as the Chief Guest. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC, attended as the Guest of Honor. The event was presided over by A.K.M. Abdur Raqib, General Manager and Head of the Dhaka North Region, with Dewan Jamil Masud, General Manager and Head of the Islamic Banking Wing, as the Special Guest.
Dr. Md. Sahinul Islam, Director (Administration and Finance) of DAE, S. M. Suhrab Uddin, Director (Horticulture Wing), and former Director General Md. Asadullah also delivered speeches during the event. Badrul Islam, Assistant General Manager of the Khamarbari Branch, gave the welcome address.
In his speech, Chief Guest Md. Saiful Alam emphasized that Islamic banking is not just a financial service, but a system based on ethical and religious principles. He expressed confidence that Pubali Bank's initiative would contribute significantly to both customer convenience and the country's economic development.

The event was attended by senior officials from the Department of Agricultural Extension, Pubali Bank's senior management, local dignitaries, customers, and well-wishers.
