Southeast Bank and Academia partner to digitize education payments
Southeast Bank PLC and Academia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance financial services for educational institutions, students, and parents. The agreement was exchanged at Southeast Bank's head office between the bank's Managing Director Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain and Academia's Managing Director Dr Md Kutub Uddin.
Under this MoU, Southeast Bank will provide Academia with a range of financial solutions, including its integrated education management platform Southeast EduFin. The platform will streamline tuition fee collection, payroll banking, and the school banking program Taroka for students. Academia will also gain access to the corporate payment module for seamless vendor payments and fund transfers.
Southeast EduFin is a digital platform designed to improve the efficiency of administrative and academic activities in schools, colleges, and universities. It offers features such as fee management, attendance tracking, grading system management, and communication between parents and teachers. The platform will enable fee payments through over-the-counter transactions, internet banking, mobile financial services (MFS), and other integrated banking solutions provided by Southeast Bank.
Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain, managing director of Southeast Bank, said, "This partnership is a significant step in our commitment to financial innovation and the advancement of Bangladesh's education sector. Academia will now be able to streamline its operations and offer students and parents more efficient, technology-driven financial solutions."
The signing ceremony was attended by Southeast Bank's Deputy Managing Directors Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Masum Uddin Khan, along with senior officials from both organizations.
