Southeast Bank and Ahsania Mission holds courtesy meeting
Recently, a high-level delegation led by Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Chairman of the Trustee Board of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. M.A. Kashem, Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC, at the Bank's head office.
The primary aim of this cordial meeting was to strengthen mutual trust and banking relations between the two institutions and to explore new ways to establish effective links between the Bank's financial services and the university's academic environment. The delegation commended Southeast Bank's education, health, and poverty alleviation activities and praised the quality of the Bank's financial services. During the meeting, Mr M A Kashem, Chairman of Southeast Bank, was cordially invited to visit Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and other welfare projects run by the mission.
Nuruddin Md attended the meeting. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director, Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Masum Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Directors of Southeast Bank PLC, Engineer A.F.M. Golam Sharfuddin, General Secretary of Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Trustee Board member of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dr Mohammad Mohiuddin, Trustee Board member of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, and Professor Dr Ashraful Haque, Vice-Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, along with other senior officials from both institutions.
During the meeting, Southeast Bank PLC Chairman Mr M.A. Kashem stated, "Southeast Bank is always committed to contributing to the country's socio-economic development. Education and human resource development are key to long-term national progress, and we will continue to extend our support to achieve this goal."
Professor Dr Golam Rahman expressed, "Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology are dedicatedly working towards advancing education in the country. With the support of an institution like Southeast Bank, we can further facilitate and significantly contribute to spreading education."
The Bank's Managing Director, Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain, reiterated Southeast Bank's commitment to delivering innovative services through modern technology in the education sector. He cited examples of the Bank's contributions to education through special student accounts, education loans, and research funds. He highlighted the benefits of the Bank's tuition fee collection services, payroll banking services, credit card services, and the education management system "Southeast EduFin" for Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and the potential for fund placement.
Professor Dr Ashraful Haque, Vice-Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, praised the Bank's initiatives and stressed the importance of increasing the accessibility of financial services for students, supporting research and development, and creating student internship and career development opportunities.
