Southeast Bank hosts training on CAMELS rating and ICRRS
Southeast Bank PLC recently conducted a training program titled "Overview of CAMELS Rating for Banks and Internal Credit Risk Rating System (ICRRS)" on Wednesday in a hybrid format at the bank's Training Institute. The session was attended by divisional heads, branch heads, managers of operations, in-charges of Uposhakhas, and offshore banking unit officials.
Mr. Mizanur Rahman Akon, Director, DOS-1, Bangladesh Bank, served as the guest speaker, sharing insights into CAMELS rating and ICRRS. His presentation enriched participants' understanding of these critical systems, which are used to assess the financial health of banks and the creditworthiness of clients.
The training program was inaugurated by Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC, who stressed the significance of CAMELS rating and ICRRS in maintaining the stability and efficiency of banking operations.
Additionally, Mr. Md. Enamul Hoque and Mr. Md. Ramzan Ali, Joint Directors of DOS-1, Bangladesh Bank, elaborated on the components influencing CAMELS ratings and highlighted the importance of ICRRS in evaluating borrower creditworthiness.
Key executives, including Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Masum Uddin Khan and Mr. Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, along with divisional heads, attended the program in person, reflecting the bank's commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of these essential financial assessment tools.
