UAP holds freshers' reception for students of fall 2024
University of Asia Pacific (UAP) welcomed the newly admitted Fall 2024 students with an orientation programme on Saturday, 25 January 2025, at the UAP Plaza.
Architect Mahbuba Haque, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), UAP, was the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor of UAP, chaired the event. The Foreign Secretary (Bilateral) and Inspector General of Missions, Dr Nazrul Islam, were special guests at the programme.
Mr Qayyum Reza Chowdhury, Member, BOT; Dr M Alauddin, Member, BOT; Professor Dr Abu Sayeed Moshtaque Ahmed, Dean, School of Environmental Sciences and Design; Prof. Dr. Tanveer Ferdous Saeed, Acting Dean, School of Engineering; Professor Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine; Professor Dr MA Baqui Khalily, Dean, School of Business; Professor Dr Aloke Kumar Saha, Proctor, UAP; and Dr ASM Mohsin, Director, Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW) also spoke at the programme. Brigadier General (Retd.) Professor Dr AKM Nazrul Islam, Registrar, UAP, gave a welcome speech.
Four successful Alumni of UAP were invited to the orientation to wish and inspire the freshers. The heads of different departments, faculty members, administrative staff, students, and the guardians of the freshers also attended the event. After the program, the university administration organised an exchange meeting with the parents and guardians of the new students.
