UIU Social Services Club distributes winter clothes in Khulna
UIU Social Services Club (UIUSSC), operating under the Directorate of Career Counseling and Student Affairs at United International University (UIU), recently distributed winter clothes to cold-stricken families in Koyra Upazila, Khulna.
The initiative aimed to support the underprivileged, who suffer greatly during winter due to the lack of warm clothing. UIUSSC members collected over 2,000 usable clothes through a campus booth and raised additional funds from faculty, administrative staff, and students. Faculty and officers also contributed to purchasing blankets.
A team from UIUSSC visited Koyra Upazila, conducted door-to-door surveys, and identified genuinely needy families. They distributed 400 blankets, over 2,000 warm clothes, and 600 units of petroleum jelly, benefitting more than 750 families across three villages.
UIUSSC reaffirmed its commitment to community service, with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia expressing gratitude to all contributors for supporting this noble cause.
