ULAB hosts seminar with Ambassador Prinz on combatting corruption
HE Dr Thomas Prinz, German Ambassador to Nepal, conducted a seminar titled "Fighting Corruption: Lessons Learned from History and Successful Cases" at the ULAB School of Business.
Dr Prinz, a previous ambassador to Bangladesh with over 30 years of experience, provided an alternative perspective on corruption, viewing it as a societal malignancy that can be treated. Drawing on examples from Estonia, Botswana, and Chile, he demonstrated how focused, context-specific solutions have significantly reduced corruption. His message offered hope for Bangladesh, highlighting that while complete eradication may be impossible, targeted interventions can yield remarkable progress, as evidenced by improvements in global corruption indices.
