Walton MD SM Mahbubul Alam receives 'MD of the Year (Tech)' award

SM Mahbubul Alam, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, has been honoured with the prestigious 'MD of the Year (Tech)' award at the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards 2024. His exceptional contributions to the economy through the production, marketing, and export of energy-efficient and eco-friendly products earned him this recognition.

The award ceremony, organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum, took place on Thursday evening, 12 December 2024, at a hotel in the capital. The crest and certificate of honour were presented to SM Mahbubul Alam by Dr. Ishtiaq Mahmud, a professor from the National University of Singapore.

Expressing his gratitude to the Bangladesh Brand Forum, SM Mahbubul Alam remarked, "Receiving an award is always immensely gratifying. The Bangladesh C-Suite Awards is among the top honours in the business sector. This recognition inspires me deeply, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of the Walton family for their relentless efforts, which continue to lead us to remarkable achievements."

Addressing the younger generation, he added, "Success demands hard work. Challenges and obstacles are inevitable, but resilience and determination are the keys to achieving goals."

The Bangladesh C-Suite Awards, initiated in 2022 by the Bangladesh Brand Forum, acknowledges the remarkable contributions and achievements of corporate leaders across various business sectors. This year, 87 nominations were submitted from 33 organisations across 24 categories, out of which 22 top executives were selected for awards after a rigorous evaluation by a distinguished advisory board.

Preceding the awards ceremony, the 8th Leadership Summit, a flagship initiative by Bangladesh Brand Forum, brought together over 350 business leaders, experts, and professionals. The summit featured an opening address by Shariful Islam, the founder and managing director of Bangladesh Brand Forum.
