Shasha Garments to invest $5m in Dhaka EPZ
An agreement regarding this was signed between Bepza and M/s Shasha Garments today
M/s Shasha Garments Ltd is going to establish a garments manufacturing factory in Dhaka's Export Processing Zone (EPZ) with an investment of $5 million.
This will be their fourth factory in the EPZs, read a press release.
In the presence of Major General Md Nazrul Islam, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (Bepza), an agreement to this effect was signed between Bepza and M/s Shasha Garments Ltd at Bepza Complex on Tuesday.
Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan, member (Investment Promotion) of Bepza and Parveen Mahmud, managing director of Shasha Garments signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The company plans to produce 6.75 million pieces of clothing items, annually, and create employment opportunities for 2,000 Bangladeshi nationals.
Among others present at the signing ceremony were: member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, member (Finance) Nafisa Banu, Secretary Md Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, General Manager (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, and General Manager (Enterprise Service) Md Khorshid Alam of Bepza.
