Dhaka stocks signal green in recovery efforts
The total trade on the DSE trading floor reached only at Tk23.58 crore by 12:00pm
Country's premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has continued its upward trend today although investors are reluctant to buy most of the company's shares due to floor price limitation.
In the first one-and-half-hour of the trading, DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchanges (DSE), increased 0.03% or 1.19 points to reach 3963.
At the same time, DSE blue-chip index (DS30) also increased by 1.25 points to 1330 and The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) increased by 0.71 points to 918.
Most of the issues or 195 company's share prices remained unchanged, while only 16 increased and 16 declined.
However, the total trade on the DSE trading floor reached only at Tk23.58 crore by 12:00pm.
On the other hand, the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) key index slumped today. CASPI, the key index of CSE has declined 4.99 points to reach 11,249 during the same time frame.
