Stocks witness uptrend at opening

Equity indices of the country's two major bourses reported an upward trend in the first one and a half hour of trading session on Wednesday.
Turnover of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) trading floor also rose by 11 percent to Tk297.37crore during the period till 11:30am.
In this session, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained 7.92 points or 0.15 percent to 5,057.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose by 3.63 points to 14,476.
Moreover, the Shariah-based DSES index also rose by 2.55 points to 1,160 and the blue-chip index DS30 gain 1.69 points to 1,761.
