Stocks on both the bourses witnessed an upward trend in the early trading on Tuesday despite investors selling pressure.
According to market analysts, "Stocks rally remain stable for the institutional investors active contribution."
In this session, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) went up by 15.84 points or 0.29 percent to reach 5,359 points at that time.
Turnover of the DSE decreased by 4% to Tk517.14crore during the session.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose by 47 points to 15,454 till 11:30 am.
Moreover, the Shariah Index (DSES) gained 3.99 points to 1,235 and blue-chip index DS30 rose 7 points to 1,931.
During this session, 171 companies share price rose, while 107 issues fell and 76 issues remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
