‘Revolt’ bags awards at Hottomela Film Festival 2020
The festival screens short films with a motto to promote young film-makers.
Aparajita Sangita's short film "Revolt" (Droho) bagged eight awards at Hottomela International Film Festival 2020 in India.
The two-day festival began in Kolkata on February 22. The festival screens short films with a motto to promote young film-makers.
The film won the awards in eight different categories including direction, productions, screenplay, cinematography, editing, title design, VFX, and acting.
Director Aparajita received award under direction category.
Story of 'Revolt' depicts how women actually dwells her life in this world. The short film was made based on the story of women taking their turns.
Cast of the film includes Sanjida Anwar, Julfikar Chanchal, Baidyanath Adhikary, Erfan Hyeum, Daud Noor, Rigan Shohag Ratna, Dalim Dhaly, Aanowar Anar, Mitha Mamun and Iftakhar Ahmed Babu.
The film was screened at different local and international festivals since it was premiered at 15th International Short and Independent Film Festival, (ISIFF) organized by Bangladesh Short Film Forum.
The film is produced under the banner of Creative Promotions.
"The film is about the unspoken truth of women and their everyday life, the director Aparajita said in a statement.
