Cautionary signal 1 at maritime ports
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution
The Meteorological Department has asked Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra maritime ports to hoist distant cautionary signal number one as depression formed at Bay.
The well-marked low over East central Bay and adjoining North Andaman Sea moved west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression. The depression lies over east central Bay and adjoining west central Bay as of 6:00am on Sunday, according to a special weather bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
It is likely to intensify further and move in a west-northwesterly direction. All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, says a BMD weather forecast.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
