Signal 3 at maritime ports as stormy weather in coastal areas
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has asked maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra to keep hoisted local cautionary signal three as squally weather may affect the ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the bay have been advised to come close to the coast and not to venture into the deep sea until further notice, according to a weather forecast of BMD.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.
