The organization has selected the best green cities in the world by reviewing various issues on over a hundred cities of the world.
The list of green cities is announced based on the extent of green forestry in the city, renewable energy, amount of air pollution, public transport system, pedestrian friendly roads etc. The Austrian capital Vienna has taken the first place this year. In second place is Munich, Germany, and in third place is Berlin, Germany.

Vienna's public transport is known as a benchmark for Europe, and about half of the city's population uses annual public transport tickets, Resonance said.
