Startup Day on 5 Oct, cos to use Amazon Web Services
The last date of registration is 15 September, fee is Tk2,000 for students and Tk2,500 for entrepreneurs
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Startup Day Bangladesh 2023 will be organised for the first time in the country on 5 October.
AWS Startup Day is an event designed to enable and accelerate startup innovation and growth for new and existing startups.
The daylong programme will teach how to transform a startup design into a billion-dollar company using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, said organisers in a press meet at Daffodil Tower in the capital's Dhanmondi area on Sunday.

Daffodil International University (DIU), KnowledgeVale and Bangladesh Venture Capital are jointly organising the event in collaboration with Amazon Web Services.
Mohammad Mahedi-Uz-Zaman, leader (Solutions Architecture, Startups) of Amazon Web Services, Dr Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family as well as co-conveners of the event, Dr Mohamee Nadir Bin Ali, registrar of Daffodil International University, and Md Jahir Uddin, managing director of Bangladesh Venture Capital, were present at the press meet.
Mohammad Mahedi-Uz-Zaman said the event will be an opportunity for startups to connect with industry experts, build valuable connections and equip themselves with the tools to propel their startups to extraordinary success.
The organisers said it is a journey into innovation and collaboration, designed to shape the next generation of pioneering companies. Through immersive workshops, attendees will gain practical knowledge on harnessing the AWS platform's potential for cloud-native applications, software as a service, analytics, and machine learning.
This full-day event aims to provide participants with hands-on workshops, insights on creating the next generation of unicorn startups, and opportunities to learn about AWS career programmes through various sessions conducted by internationally and locally recognised professionals/trainers from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The Startup Day will also feature benefits, worth more than Tk10 lakh, for each qualified startup, hands-on workshops, and mentorship from AWS experts.
More than 10 internationally recognised speakers and trainers from domestic, foreign and AWS will conduct the workshops.
In addition, all participants will present a presentation based on each hands-on workshop, from which the winners will be announced through judges.
Startup companies can participate in the event through registration. The last date of registration is 15 September.
