Even though it looks like the iPhone 8, it is fitted with an upgraded set of hardware. The new low-cost iPhone is powered by Apple A13 Bionic chip; the same chipset being that is equipped in iPhone 11
Apple has announced that its new budget smartphone - iPhone SE - is set to launch on April 24. The new iPhone SE looks almost the same as iPhone 8; it comes with a 4.7-inch screen, a TouchID-enabled home button, and unfortunately, no headphone jack.
Even though it looks like the iPhone 8, it is fitted with an upgraded set of hardware. The new low-cost iPhone is powered by Apple A13 Bionic chip; the same chipset being that is equipped in iPhone 11.
The latest iPhone SE comes with a single 12MP, f/1.8 aperture wide main camera and a 7MP, f/2.2 aperture selfie camera. The wide main camera supports 4k video recording at 60 fps. Apple claims that the A13 Bionic chip's Neural Engine aids in delivering better output of pictures. Its "monocular depth-sensing" portrait mode uses machine learning to track depth and separate subjects in the background; however, it can only detect humans as subjects.
Apple has not yet revealed any information on the new phone's battery capacity. But as the phone shares the same design as the iPhone 8, it can be assumed that the battery capacity will be the same as well; it will be equipped with a non-removable Li-Ion 1821 mAh battery. The company also mentioned that the iPhone 8 cases can be used on iPhone SE (2020) as well.
The new iPhone supports fast charging of 18 watts and yet it comes with a 5W charger. Similar to the iPhone 11 series, the iPhone SE (2020) supports Qi wireless charging. It also carries Gigabit LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 and Dual-SIM support.
The new iPhone SE will be available in three variants - 3/64 GB, 3/128 GB, and 3/256 GB. The 3/64GB variant will be sold at a price of INR42,500 in India, its launch date and price in Bangladesh has not been revealed yet. However, based on the Indian market price, the phone will be available for purchase at a price of Tk50,000 approximately.
The prices of the other two variants have not been revealed yet.
