Clearer skin with The Body Shop Tea Tree range

For anyone having a combination-to-oily skin which is prone to acnes, blemishes, and blackheads, following a good skin care regimen is a must.

I have extremely sensitive skin, so using products that are heavily alcohol based do not help my skin at all.

I am also allergic to greasy moisturisers and fragrant products.

I have been using the Tea Tree range from The Body Shop for years, and the products have a secure place on my bathroom shelf.

Although there are quite a few products in this range, I am currently using six – the face wash, toner, mattifying lotion, tea tree oil, night mask and serum.

The containers are dark green in colour and have the usual Body Shop logo and stickers on them. There is a medicated tea tree oil smell to them but it is not bad.  

The skin clearing facial wash has a gel consistency and has a refreshing, cooling effect on the skin.

The tea tree smell in it does not linger and fades away after a wash.

After using the face wash, I use the toner.  

You have to shake the toner bottle before use because the active particles tend to remain at the bottom.  

If you have small cuts or scratches, the toner may burn a little on them. But this is by far the best toner I have used.

The Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution comes in a small glass bottle. It is a lightweight serum which can be used during the day as well as night. It helps to reduce skin imperfections.  

After cleansing, toning and putting on the serum, the next step is moisturising the skin.

The Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion is the perfect moisturiser for oily, acne prone, and blemished skin.

The lotion is not greasy at all and gets easily absorbed into the skin. It is also quite hydrating.

The Tea Tree Oil is great for spot application when you see a blemish or acne peeking through your skin.  

Whenever I see a small bump on my face, I dab the oil on it with a cotton ball and keep it overnight.

But do have a patch test beforehand because sometimes tea tree oil can cause burns when left on the skin for a long time.  

The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night mask looks like green jelly and it is infused with salicylic acid.

It is a leave on mask so you do not need to wash it off. The skin absorbs it nicely so it does not leave stains on the pillow.

In the morning, the skin looks visibly healthier and smoother.

The Body Shop is a UK based brand, so most of its products in Bangladesh are imported.

There are some high-end cosmetic shops who sell this brand but the products are mostly available in online shops.

You can find the original products in online shops such as The Mall, Class Drugs, Cosmetika, and Colour and Care.

But the shops have different prices, which is why I would avoid mentioning the exact prices.

The price of each product from The Body Shop Tea Tree range is between Tk800 and Tk2100.

They are expensive, but I would say they are worth splurging on.    

I must mention that all the products of this range burn a little in the beginning on the problematic areas of your skin. If the burn is intense, it is better to avoid it.   

For new users, there is a starter pack which costs around Tk2700.  

This range has definitely worked for me and I am going to continue using the products. With regular use, my skin became clearer and the blemishes also faded.
